The Start by iHealth THf thermometer is a non-contact thermometer.
Position the thermometer 1 to 3 cm from the forehead surface to ensure accurate measurement.
Aim the thermometer at the glabella (frontal sinus), temple or supraorbital bead (above the eyebrow) and press START. The temperature is displayed immediately.
If you are not sure of the measurement result, measure the 3 positions and hold the highest value.
Recommended measurement zones:
To ensure accurate measurement, observe the following guidelines:
- When measuring a body temperature, the optical sensor should be pointed at the center of the forehead at a distance of 1 to 3 cm. Keep the thermometer upright.
- Make sure the forehead is clear. It should not be covered by hair, sweat, cream or any other cosmetic.
- Measure the temperature at least three times and make an average.
- If the thermometer goes from a very cold place to a very hot place or vice versa, it is recommended to wait 30 minutes to ensure an accurate measurement.
- Do not use the thermometer under strong sunlight.
- Wait 15 minutes after going out in a hot or cold environment before measuring the temperature.
- If your baby is crying, wait for him to calm down before measuring his temperature.
- If there are significant changes in the room temperature, place the thermometer in the room for 15-20 minutes before taking the temperature.
- Do not expose the thermometer to direct sunlight, water, or moisture for prolonged periods.
